Surya — The Photosphere

The visible surface of the sun · 5,500°C · Source of all visible light

Surya is self-luminous — needing nothing external to shine. His brilliance is so total that it hides his own deeper structures. The corona, the chromosphere, the magnetic architecture — all invisible, overwhelmed by surface radiance. The Isha Upanishad says: the face of truth is covered by a golden disc.

Philosophically: Atman as experienced — pure awareness whose own activity (thoughts, perceptions, vrittis) is so overwhelming that you cannot see through to your own nature. The surface dazzle hides the depth. Not darkness hiding the light — light hiding the light.

Chandra / Shiva — The Moon

The only body that can eclipse the sun from Earth · Reflects solar light · Governs tides and cycles

Shiva is Chandrashekhar — the one who wears the moon on his head. The moon has no light of its own; it reflects Surya's. Shiva as the lunar principle simultaneously creates the shadow (Rahu) and reveals the corona (Hanuman). One body, two phenomena — destruction and revelation in the same act.

Philosophically: Manas — the mind. It has no consciousness of its own, only reflects Atman's awareness. But it can position itself between observer and source, creating apparent darkness. The same mind that obstructs is the mind that, properly aligned, reveals. Shiva wearing the moon means consciousness that has mastered the instrument of potential obstruction.

Hanuman — The Corona

The sun's outer atmosphere · Only visible during total eclipse · Source of the solar wind · Temperature: 1–3 million°C — hotter than the surface

Born from Anjana (darkness, shadow, kohl) and Kesari (golden mane, lion, saffron). Their child is literally the golden ring that appears when darkness covers the sun. Vayu — the wind — is his father: the solar wind originates in the corona. Hanuman tears open his chest to show Ram inside — the corona surrounds and contains the sun within it.

Philosophically: the hidden beauty of Atman — the deeper structure that's always present but only visible when surface activity ceases. Dhyana (meditation) is the eclipse of the mind — chitta vritti nirodha — that reveals the corona of your own nature. The shadow is not the enemy. It is the necessary condition for seeing what was always there.

The Chromosphere — Shiva's Trishul

A thin layer between photosphere and corona · Flashes vivid red-pink for seconds during totality · Three visible solar layers revealed in sequence during eclipse

Shiva's trident — three prongs. During eclipse, three distinct solar layers become visible: photosphere, chromosphere, corona. Three structures normally invisible as separate entities, revealed in their distinctness only through the event Shiva governs. Neelkanth — the blue throat holding cosmic poison — maps to the eerie indigo sky that surrounds the eclipse during totality.

The three gunas made visible — sattva (corona, luminous), rajas (chromosphere, energetic), tamas (shadow, obscuring). Normally they blend into undifferentiated experience. The eclipse of the mind separates them, making each visible in its distinctness. The trishul is discriminative analysis — viveka — that separates what was falsely blended.

Brahman — The Ground

Not the space around the eclipse. The reason there is space. The reason there is light. The reason there are observers. The reason "reason" is intelligible.

Brahman is not a deity in the drama. Brahman is the drama, the stage, the audience, the darkness of the theater, and the fact that experience is possible at all. Every deity, every phenomenon, every astronomical event occurs within Brahman the way every wave occurs within the ocean — not as a part, but as a temporary shape of the whole.

Neti neti — not this, not this. Brahman cannot be pointed to because pointing requires a pointer separate from the pointed-at, and there is nothing outside Brahman. Atman — the innermost awareness that survives all subtraction — is Brahman. Not a piece of it. Not contained within it. Identical to it. Ayam Atma Brahma.

Chapter I

The Names
Shadow Married to Golden Mane

अञ्जना · केसरी · हनुमान

The names contain the entire thesis. Anjana — अञ्जना — derives from anjana, meaning kohl, collyrium, the dark cosmetic ointment applied around the eyes. It carries the meaning of darkness, shadow, blackness. Hanuman's mother is named Darkness.

Kesari — केसरी — comes from kesar, meaning mane, saffron, golden filament. "The maned one." The lion. Hanuman's father is named Golden Radiance.

Consider what a golden mane surrounding a dark center looks like. A ring of saffron-amber light encircling a core of shadow. This is the solar corona during a total eclipse. The dark disk of the moon rimmed by the sun's golden outer atmosphere — invisible under normal conditions, blazing with impossible beauty when darkness covers the face of the sun.

Their child — the being born from the union of shadow and golden light — flies toward the sun and tries to swallow it. He does this on the same day that Rahu, the shadow-demon of eclipses, is scheduled to swallow the sun. Two entities racing to consume the same star on the same day. The mythology is not being subtle.

But there is a third parent. Vayu — the wind god — is Hanuman's divine father. And here the astronomical encoding reaches a precision that seems impossible to dismiss as coincidence: the solar corona is the origin point of the solar wind. The charged particles streaming outward from the sun are born in the corona. Vayu fathering the corona is physically correct.

The child of shadow and golden radiance, fathered by the wind, flies toward the sun on eclipse day. The names are the proof.
Chapter II

Two Shadows
Rahu and Hanuman

राहु · हनुमान — विरोध और विकल्प

If Hanuman is the corona and Rahu is the shadow, they are not the same entity. They are co-arising phenomena — you cannot have one without the other during an eclipse. No shadow, no visible corona. No corona, the shadow is just darkness without a golden ring. The mythology keeps them in the same story because they are observationally inseparable, but gives them opposite moral characters because they represent opposite orientations to the same event.

Rahu is the ascending lunar node — the mathematical point where the moon's orbit crosses the ecliptic plane going northward. It is the mechanism that enables eclipses. But crucially, Rahu is not a body. He was beheaded by Vishnu's Sudarshan Chakra. He is a head without a body — a mathematical abstraction, a geometry, a point in space with no physical mass. Eclipses are caused not by a thing but by a relationship between the positions of sun, moon, and observer.

Hanuman, by contrast, is vibrantly embodied. He has form, color, warmth, devotion. He is the experiential reality of the eclipse — the corona you actually see, the atmospheric stillness you feel (Vayu withdrawing breath when his son is struck), the golden light persisting at the edges of darkness.

One is mechanism. The other is experience. One consumes. The other persists. And here is the most telling clue from Jyotish practice itself: Hanuman worship is the traditional remedy for Rahu afflictions. You don't prescribe entity A as cure for entity A. You prescribe the transformed version of the same force. The tradition is saying: the shadow that tries to consume the sun and the light that persists despite the shadow are the same energy in different orientations.

The same darkness either devours you or serves you. Rahu is shadow as consumption. Hanuman is light that persists even within darkness. The remedy is not the elimination of shadow — it is its reorientation.
Chapter III

Indra's Thunderbolt
The Diamond Ring Effect

वज्र · हनु · प्रकाश

Indra strikes baby Hanuman with his vajra — the thunderbolt — breaking his jaw. Hanu means jaw, giving us the name "Hanuman." The unbroken ring of the corona — the jaw, the continuous circle of golden light — is cracked open by a bolt of blinding radiance.

Astronomers have a name for this moment. When totality ends, the first bead of raw sunlight punches through a valley on the lunar limb. The corona is still faintly visible around the edges, but one point of devastating brilliance breaks through. They call it the diamond ring effect. A diamond of white fire on a ring of gold. The thunderbolt that shatters the corona's completeness.

Indra represents cosmic order — he is the king of the Devas, the maintainer of rta (cosmic law). His intervention ensures the eclipse does not persist indefinitely. The shadow is broken. The sun returns. Natural law reasserts itself. The jaw of the corona is cracked so that the sun's full brilliance can stream through again.

After the vajra strike, the gods grant Hanuman near-invulnerability and immortality to appease Vayu. The corona never dies. The eclipse is temporary, cyclical — it passes. But the corona is permanent, always present, always surrounding the sun whether visible or not. Chiranjeevi — the immortal one — is the structure that endures when the event has passed.

Chapter IV

Shiva and the Moon
The Body That Both Conceals and Reveals

चन्द्रशेखर · नटराज · नीलकण्ठ

Multiple Puranic traditions identify Hanuman as Rudra-avatar — Shiva himself incarnated. If Hanuman is the corona, the mythology claims the corona is a manifestation of whatever Shiva represents. And what Shiva represents astronomically is the lunar principle.

Shiva is Chandrashekhar — the one who wears the crescent moon on his head. He is the deity most intimately bonded to the moon. And the moon's role in the eclipse is singular: it is the one body that simultaneously produces both the shadow AND reveals the corona. The moon creates Rahu (shadow) and births Hanuman (corona) in the same act. One body, two children, opposite natures. That is profoundly Shaivite — the coincidence of destruction and revelation in a single gesture.

Nataraja — Shiva as the cosmic dancer — dances within a prabha mandala, a ring of fire. A dark figure at the center, surrounded by blazing golden flame, one foot on Apasmara (ignorance/darkness). Describe this image to someone who has never encountered Hinduism and ask what natural phenomenon it resembles. They will describe a total solar eclipse — dark disk at center, ring of fire around it, the dynamic streamers of the corona dancing and shifting.

Neelkanth — the blue throat. Shiva drank the halahala poison during the churning and held it in his throat, turning it blue. During totality, the sky around the eclipse takes on a deep, eerie indigo-blue quality that observers across history have found otherworldly. The poison and Rahu emerge from the same event. Shiva contains the poison — the moon contains the shadow. Not elimination. Containment. The darkness is held, bounded, prevented from becoming permanent.

The Third Eye — when opened, emits a beam of fire that destroys. The diamond ring effect again — the moment totality breaks, a single devastating point of light pierces through. One "eye" of the sun opening through the lunar surface.

The same body that creates maximum darkness is the only reason you can see the sun's most beautiful hidden structure. Without the moon there is no eclipse. Without the eclipse there is no visible corona. Destruction and revelation are the same act performed by the same body.
Chapter V

The Churning
Samudra Manthan as the Origin of Eclipses

समुद्र मन्थन — सृष्टि का यन्त्र

Kshir Sagar — the Ocean of Milk. A vast white luminous expanse. The Milky Way. Many ancient cultures independently named it after milk. This is the background canvas on which all celestial mechanics unfold.

Mount Mandara — the churning rod placed at the center of the ocean. The celestial pole axis — the line around which the entire sky appears to rotate. Every night, every year, the ocean of stars churns around this fixed axis.

Kurma — Vishnu's tortoise avatar, providing a stable base so Mandara doesn't sink. The fixed reference frame — the invariable plane, the celestial sphere — that anchors the axis. Without the base, no stable rotation. Without a reference frame, no observable mechanics.

Vasuki — the serpent wrapped around the axis, pulled from two sides. In Jyotish, the great serpent of the sky is the nodal axis: Rahu is the head, Ketu is the tail. Together they form a serpent stretched across the ecliptic. The nodal axis regresses backward through the zodiac over an 18.6-year cycle — a serpentine, grinding, slow rotation around a central axis. The churning is the regression of the nodes.

Devas and Asuras — two opposing forces pulling from opposite ends. The ascending node (Rahu) and descending node (Ketu) are always 180 degrees apart. One crosses northward, the other southward. The tension between these opposite points is the mechanical engine that determines when and where eclipses occur.

From this churning, everything emerges:

Halahala (poison) emerges first — the shadow, the eclipse darkness. Shiva (the lunar principle) drinks it and holds it in his throat. The moon contains the shadow. Eclipses are permanent but bounded.

Chandra (the Moon) emerges — and is claimed by Shiva, placed on his head. The moon "belongs" to the lunar principle because it governs the eclipse system.

Lakshmi emerges — radiant beauty. During total solar eclipses, Venus frequently becomes visible near the sun. Lakshmi is associated with Shukra (Venus). Radiant beauty emerging from the churning of darkness and light.

Dhanvantari carries out the Amrit — the nectar of immortality. If we are in the eclipse model, amrit is the corona — the hidden solar structure normally invisible, revealed only through the churning of shadow and light. Always there, always immortal, but requiring the interplay of darkness and radiance to become visible.

Then Rahu disguises himself as a Deva and drinks the amrit. Surya and Chandra identify him — the sun and moon, the two bodies whose alignment defines the nodes. Vishnu's Sudarshan Chakra beheads him, but head and tail survive because amrit has passed the throat. The shadow-mechanism becomes permanently linked to the corona-revelation. The nodes are "beheaded" — not physical bodies, just mathematical points. But they are immortal because the intersection of orbital planes never ceases. And they perpetually chase Surya and Chandra because the nodes are literally defined by the Sun-Moon relationship. They can never stop chasing. They can never permanently catch. They can only periodically swallow and release.

क्षीरसागर → मन्दर → वासुकि → मन्थन → हलाहल → चन्द्र → लक्ष्मी → अमृत → राहु-केतु
Milky Way → Polar Axis → Nodal Axis → Regression → Shadow → Moon → Venus → Corona → Immortal Nodes
The Samudra Manthan is the origin story of the eclipse mechanism — each element mapping to a component of the celestial system that produces and governs eclipses.
Chapter VI

Three Verbs, Not Three Nouns
The Trimurti as Physical Processes

सृष्टि · स्थिति · लय

The Trimurti are not three gods sitting in three locations performing three jobs. They are three aspects of a single process by which an undifferentiated universe becomes structured, self-sustaining, and cyclically renewing.

Brahma — Srishti
DIFFERENTIATION
Astronomically: symmetry breaking in the early universe. One unified force becoming four. Energy condensing into matter. Uniform plasma becoming atoms, then molecules, then stars.
Brahma creates not from nothing but by dividing — splitting himself, introducing distinction where there was unity. Day from night. Sky from earth. Name from form.
Philosophically: the introduction of nama-rupa (name and form) into the undifferentiated Brahman. Before Brahma, everything exists as pure potential. After Brahma, there are categories.
Vishnu — Sthiti
CONSERVATION
Astronomically: the fundamental constants and conservation laws. The speed of light. Conservation of energy. The gravitational constant. Without sustained consistency, no structure persists.
Vishnu sleeping on Shesha (the infinite serpent) floating on the cosmic ocean — the laws of physics resting upon infinite mathematical structure, floating in the vacuum. His avatars descend when dharma decays — when the system threatens to lose coherence.
Philosophically: Dharma in its cosmic sense — not morality but order. The sustaining principle that keeps the universe lawful rather than chaotic.
Shiva — Laya
TRANSFORMATION
Astronomically: entropy, stellar death, supernovae, black holes. The processes that destroy structure but create conditions for new structure. Heavy elements only exist because stars die.
The tandava — rhythmic, structured destruction that generates. Not decline into chaos but a dance. Carbon in your body was forged in a dying star. Shiva's destruction is the origin of complexity.
Philosophically: not annihilation but composting. The dissolution of form so that new form can arise. The same force that obscures is the force that reveals.
Brahma differentiates. Vishnu sustains the dynamic. Shiva contains the destructive byproduct. Three functions, one process. Three verbs, one sentence.
Chapter VII

OM
The First Vibration

ॐ — प्रणव

The Mandukya Upanishad says all of existence is OM. Not that OM represents existence — that existence is OM. Before OM, Brahman is nirguna — without quality, without vibration, without dimension. OM is the moment Brahman stirs.

The universe before the Big Bang is a state of no structure. The Big Bang itself is the onset of vibration. Quantum fields begin to oscillate. Those oscillations produce literal acoustic waves in the primordial plasma. These have been measured. The Cosmic Microwave Background is the fossilized imprint of these first oscillations — a hum filling every point in the universe, omnipresent, omnidirectional, the residual vibration of the first moment of structured existence.

A Waking
U Dream
M Deep Sleep
Silence
Tap each syllable to explore its meaning.

Brahman is not the creator. Brahman is not a force. Brahman is not "everything" in the sense of a collection. Brahman is that from which all things arise, in which all things exist, and into which all things dissolve — but which itself is none of those things.

If the sun is a metaphor for Atman, Brahman is not "all the suns." Brahman is the principle of luminosity itself — the reason light is even possible, prior to any particular light existing. Not any star. Not even all stars summed. The capacity for stellar luminosity that expresses through every star identically.

एकम् एव अद्वितीयम्
Ekam eva advitiyam
One only, without a second. — Chandogya Upanishad 6.2.1

Brahman is not the highest layer. Brahman is the paper on which all layers are drawn. Or the space in which the paper exists. Or the reason "existence" is a meaningful word rather than nonsense. The question physics cannot answer — why is there something rather than nothing — is the space Brahman occupies.

Chapter VIII

The Complete Lexicon
Every Deity as a Principle

देवता · तत्त्व · सिद्धान्त

If the mythology is a curriculum rather than a pantheon, each deity functions not as a personality but as a principle — operating simultaneously at three levels: astronomical phenomenon, mythological narrative, and philosophical insight.

Surya — सूर्य
ATMAN · SELF-LUMINOSITY
The star. Self-luminous, always complete, unaffected by anything that appears to happen to it.
Surya-vanshi (solar dynasty) includes Ram, whom Hanuman serves. The corona surrounds and contains its lord.
Atman — pure awareness that doesn't depend on external source. The Isha Upanishad's golden disc covering truth's face. Too bright to see its own depth.
Chandra / Shiva — चन्द्र / शिव
MANAS · MIND · THE MEDIATOR
The moon. Reflects solar light. Governs tides and cycles. Only body that can produce eclipses from Earth.
Chandrashekhar — moon-bearer. Simultaneously creates shadow (Rahu) and reveals corona (Hanuman).
The mind reflects Atman's awareness but can obstruct or reveal. Same instrument, opposite functions depending on orientation.
Rahu — राहु
AVIDYA · VEILING POWER
The ascending lunar node. A mathematical point, not a physical body. The mechanism of eclipse.
Beheaded — a head without a body. Immortal through stolen amrit. Eternally chasing sun and moon.
Avarana shakti — the veiling power. Not the creation of falsehood but the obstruction of vision. Positional, not absolute.
Ketu — केतु
MOKSHA · THE LIBERATING WOUND
The descending lunar node. The tail. Where the moon goes below the ecliptic plane — disappearance.
Headless — no rational mind, no desire. Vikshepa shakti — projecting power. But also moksha-karaka — significator of liberation.
You lose your head and find what you are without it. Liberation through the dissolution of identity.
Vayu — वायु
PRANA · THE CONNECTING MEDIUM
The solar wind. Atmosphere. The medium through which solar energy reaches Earth's surface.
Hanuman's divine father. Withdraws breath when his son is struck — the atmospheric stillness during totality.
Prana — not just breath but the fundamental life-force connecting consciousness to body. The bridge between Atman and experience.
Indra — इन्द्र
VIVEKA · DISCRIMINATIVE INTELLIGENCE
The diamond ring effect. Atmospheric electricity. The discharge of built-up tension.
His vajra breaks Hanuman's jaw — the unbroken corona ring cracked by the first bead of returning sunlight.
The sattvic ego — the working self that maintains order. Viveka — the flash of discriminative insight that cuts through falseness.
Agni — अग्नि
TRANSFORMATION · THE WITNESS
Nuclear fusion. The process at the core of every star converting hydrogen into helium, mass into energy.
Every Vedic ritual is witnessed by Agni. He transforms and validates. The fire that turns input into energy.
The digestive fire of awareness. Not just burning — transforming experience into understanding. The metabolic core of consciousness.
Shakti / Prakriti — शक्ति
ENERGY · MANIFESTATION
Energy itself. Not any form — the capacity for work, change, transformation. E=mc².
Shiva without Shakti is shava (corpse). Consciousness without energy is inert. Energy without consciousness is blind.
Brahman's dynamic power. How nirguna becomes saguna — how the qualityless manifests as the world of qualities.
Varuna — वरुण
RITA · COSMIC LAW BEFORE ORDER
The cosmic ocean. The vacuum. Dark energy. The vast, silent, lawful substrate in which all structure floats.
The older principle — not moral law (dharma) but natural law. The way things are before anyone decides how they should be.
Rita — the cosmic order prior to human-scale dharma. The mathematics underlying the physics underlying the experience.
Vishnu — विष्णु
DHARMA · CONSERVATION · SUSTENANCE
The fundamental constants. Conservation of energy. The gravitational constant. The laws that allow structure to persist.
Sleeps on Shesha (infinity) on the cosmic ocean. Takes avatars when dharma decays — when the system loses coherence.
The sustaining principle. Not a person maintaining — the impersonal lawfulness that makes persistence possible.
Chapter IX

Atman
The Sun That Does Not Know It Is Being Eclipsed

आत्मन् — स्वयम्प्रकाश

Trace what the sun has been throughout this analysis. Always there. Always shining. Always complete. The corona is always present. The chromosphere is always present. Nothing the eclipse does changes the sun at all. The eclipse is entirely a phenomenon of what stands between the observer and the source.

The sun does not know it is being eclipsed. It does not dim. It does not struggle. It does not fight Rahu. From the sun's own perspective, absolutely nothing is happening.

The eclipse is entirely an observer phenomenon. It requires someone for whom the sun disappears and reappears. Without Aham, without the I that watches, the entire model collapses into meaningless geometry. Move your position — different latitude, different planet — and the eclipse does not exist. The shadow is real but local. The obstruction is real but perspectival. And it is temporary.

Here is the insight the mythology is encoding: the sun's own brightness hides its own structure. Under normal conditions, you cannot see the corona. Not because it does not exist. Not because something blocks it. But because the photosphere — the surface brilliance — is so overwhelming that it drowns the corona. The sun's own luminosity conceals the sun's own depth.

Atman is self-luminous consciousness. But its own activity — thoughts, perceptions, the brilliant surface-play of experience — is so overwhelming that you cannot see the deeper structure of what you are. The vrittis are not darkness. They are too much light.

What the eclipse does — what darkness does — is temporarily block the surface brilliance. And in that silence, the corona becomes visible. The hidden architecture reveals itself precisely because the overwhelming surface has been quieted.

This is dhyana. This is meditation. This is chitta vritti nirodha — the cessation of mental fluctuations. Not the destruction of the mind. The mind (moon) moves into alignment such that surface activity goes quiet, and in that quietness, you see the luminous structure that was always there but hidden by its own brilliance.

ATMAN
AnnamayaFood / Physical body
PranamayaEnergy / Breath
ManomayaMind / Emotions
VijnanamayaIntellect / Discernment
AnandamayaBliss / Causal body

The five koshas (sheaths) are concentric layers — like the layers of the eclipse itself. Strip away body. The I remains. Strip away energy. Still there. Strip away thoughts. Strip away intellect. Strip away even bliss. What remains when everything removable is removed? Pure, unqualified awareness. Self-luminous. Requiring nothing else. The Atman at the center of every sheath, like the sun at the center of every solar layer.

Chapter X

Aham Brahmasmi
The Statement That Annihilates Its Speaker

अहं ब्रह्मास्मि

Everything depends on which "I" speaks. The physical body saying "I am Brahman" is delusion. The energy saying it is confusion. The mind saying it is arrogance. The intellect saying it is philosophy.

But the awareness that remains after body, energy, mind, intellect, and even bliss have been subtracted — the awareness that cannot be subtracted because it is the one performing the subtraction — that I, saying "I am Brahman," is not a claim. It is a recognition.

अहं ब्रह्मास्मि
Aham Brahmasmi
The indivisible awareness that I am is not a fragment of Brahman. It IS Brahman. Fully. Completely. Without remainder. — Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 1.4.10

The logic is precise: Brahman is infinite, without boundary, without a second. If your innermost awareness were outside Brahman, Brahman would have an edge — the place where it ends and you begin. A Brahman with an edge is not Brahman. So your awareness cannot be outside it.

And if your awareness is within Brahman, it would be a fragment. But awareness is indivisible — you cannot have half a consciousness. An indivisible thing within an infinite thing, sharing its fundamental nature (self-luminosity, independence from external source), is not a part. It IS it. The way a wave is not part of the ocean. It is the ocean, in motion.

The ego-I says: "I am Brahman, therefore I am great." The witness-I says: "I am Brahman, therefore there is no 'I' that is great. There is only this. And this is everything." The statement, fully realized, annihilates its own speaker.

Connect this to everything we have built. Every deity, every phenomenon, every astronomical event — all of it exists within awareness. Surya's brilliance: experienced by awareness. Rahu's shadow: experienced by awareness. Hanuman's golden persistence: experienced by awareness. The churning itself: experienced by awareness. None of these exist for themselves. They exist for the one who sees. And the one who sees is not in the scene. The one who sees is the reason there is a scene.

Tat tvam asi is spoken by a teacher to a student — second person, relational, still preserving the structure of two. Aham Brahmasmi is first person. No teacher. No student. No relationship. Just the groundless ground, recognizing itself, in silence, as everything.

And the silence after that recognition — that is the silence after AUM. Turiya. The fourth state that is not a state. Brahman, at rest, needing nothing, being everything, aware of itself as itself.

The mythology does not merely preserve astronomy.
It uses astronomy to teach you what you are.
The cosmos is the textbook. The eclipse is the lesson.
And the sun — untouched, luminous, unaware of its own eclipsing —
is the answer.

तत् त्वम् असि
Thou art that.
